『一條根』是金門特有的原生藥用植物，其外形為根狀，且只有主根可以入藥。根據中國藥書記載，一條根可去除風濕、治療酸痛等功效。一條根種後三年才可採收，所以產量不多，屬於珍貴的藥材。
金門擁有許多地下碉堡，士兵常因潮濕的居住環境而染上凍瘡與關節痠痛，所以人們利用一條根入藥來去除身上的痠痛。
Moghania root is an endemic medical herb of Kinmen. It has a typical root shape. According to ancient Chinese medical records, the root can be used to alleviate arthritis pain and bodily soreness. The root is mature and ready for medical use only after three years of age. So it is expensive due to its scarcity. There are many bunkers under the ground of Kinmen. Most of soldiers were sore and pain from the damp living conditions. So people make medicines from Moghania root to alleviate arthritis pain and bodily soreness.

除了一條根，還有海芙蓉和一條龍，都算是金門較為出名的入藥植物
以前我岳父還在的時候，都會從金門寄很多的一條根給我泡藥酒，但喝了那麼多的一條根藥酒，腰還是那麼的酸，而腰酸是男人通病，非一般藥酒就可以治癒~~
在土地貧瘠的金門，能夠取得這類藥草稍解酸痛之苦，算是上天給的恩賜。現在醫學發達，比起一條根好的藥草多到不知繁幾，卻因為包裝和行銷，放大一條根的療效，在我用過那麼多一條根產品之後，也只有少數我認為好用的，多數都誇大其辭
