記憶中，堡壘原立於金城車站旁，用以彰顯古寧頭戰役，發揚軍民同心的金門精神。現位於林厝的和平紀念園區。
還記得小學的社會課本有收錄精神堡壘的照片。（透漏年紀了!!)

莒光樓建於1952年，原來用以紀念古寧頭戰役，表彰金門精神。今日人們可以透過這棟建築，了解金門的歷史與人文風情。
Juguang Tower was completed in 1952, originally built to commemorate the battles of Guningtou War.
People can understand much of the Kinmen's history and culture through the building now.

金門的獅爺們只適合屹立在藍天與紅土地上，祂們不該被收藏在博物館裡，供人欣賞。
珍愛金門，禁止盜竊文物。
All lion gods only stand on the ground of Kinmen. They shouldn't be seen in museums.

在過去，戴勝被老一輩的金門人視為不祥之鳥，因為牠們常常出沒在墳墓附近。
但時至今日，戴勝成為勝利的象徵。
Elders in Kinmen think that upupa epops are unlucky, which is a common superstition. Because they always show up near graves. But upupa epops are now seen as a symbol of victory.

小時候很容易滿足，連貝殼都可以當作寶石一樣珍惜。
記憶中我還帶了一堆貝殼回台灣。
As a child, it is easy to be satisfied. Even shells can be treasured as gems.
